Pan Asian Repertory Theatre was featured in an international
line up of artists and musicians to benefit UNICEF's efforts to
aid the victims of the May 12 earthquake in Sichuan Province,
China. Tina Chilip, Kathleen Kwan and Rosanne Ma, from last fall's
The Joy Luck Club, performing a scene from the acclaimed production.

Special cultural discussion following Pan Asian Rep’s The
Missing Woman
This Thursday, Pan Asian Rep welcomes Professor Rosalind
Morris
from Columbia University to lead an informal chat about Southeast
Asian
art and history, following that evening’s performance of The Missing
Woman.
All attendees of the performance are welcome to stay and participate
in the discussion.
Over the past decade, Rosalind Morris has devoted her attention
to thinking
about a number of inter-related issues and questions concerning:
the history of modernity in Southeast Asia. She is a former Director
of the Institute for Research on Women and Gender, the Associate
Director of the Center for Comparative Literature and Society,
and the former co-editor of
“CONNECT: art, politics, theory, culture”. |

seeing their performance of The Joy Luck Club. There was also a
